Terms of Use

The game

ScoreOff is a free football prediction game for playing against your mates. Points, leagues, boosts, rankings and banter are for fun and bragging rights only. They have no cash value.

There is no gambling. You cannot stake money and you cannot win money. Any future prize competition will be governed by its own rules and will only launch where lawful.

Using the app

You must be 13 or over. You agree to use the app only for its intended purpose and not to interfere with it, reverse engineer it, or use it to harass anyone.

Banter Mode lines are written by ScoreOff, not by other users. If a line ever misses the mark, tell us and we will change it.

Reactions and nudges are limited to a fixed set of emojis and messages. There is no free-text chat. Keep display names civil; we may change or remove names that are offensive.

Leagues

The person who creates a league owns it and can rename it, remove players and hand ownership to someone else. Anyone can leave a league at any time. If the owner leaves, the longest-standing member takes over; if the last member leaves, the league is deleted.

Predictions lock at kick-off and cannot be changed afterwards, by you or by us.

Football data

Fixtures, results and crests come from third-party providers. We do our best to keep them accurate but results can be late or corrected. Points may be recalculated when a provider updates a result.

Purchases

Everything you need to play is free. Optional purchases are: extra league places (99p for 5, £1.49 for 10), one-off extras at 99p, and ScoreOff Pro at £1.99 covering one season (one year from purchase). Prices are shown before you buy and may differ by country under the store’s pricing.

ScoreOff Pro does not renew automatically. When it lapses you keep everything you earned and simply lose the Pro features until you buy it again. Bought Score Boosts are for the current season and reset when the new season starts; unused league expansions never expire.

Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play under their terms, and refunds are requested from them, not from us. If a purchase is refunded we remove what it unlocked. Purchases are tied to your ScoreOff account: sign in on a new phone and they come back. Save your account (Apple or Google sign-in) before changing phones, or an anonymous account’s purchases cannot be recovered.

Nothing you can buy changes how points are scored or gives an advantage in the rankings that other players cannot also earn: extra Score Boosts are also given free for inviting three mates.

In test builds, before the stores are live, purchases are simulated and no money is taken.

Availability

ScoreOff is provided as-is during testing. It may change, break, or be withdrawn. We are not liable for lost predictions, points, or bragging rights.
